I'm willing to: Raise a minimum of $1900 before 11 April 2002
Work like mad to make both of those things happen
I'm not asking you to walk in my shoes or walk with me, but I really need your support.
If every person
who has named a dollar figure comes through, I'm still running nearly $600 behind my commitment and the deadline for
monies to be at the bank in Chicago in order to be credited to my account has come and gone.
So, come 11 April (aka Day 0) I'll be standing on yet another very long line to turn in the donation forms and cheques
I've collected between now and then. Please consider adding your donation to that stack by mailing your cheque made
out to Avon Breast Cancer3 Day to P.O. Box 28913, San Diego, CA 92198 -- I'll take care of the donation form.
The walk is the first of 13 such walks and it is brand new to San Diego. We'll be starting at Lego Land and ending in the Mission Bay area near Sea World. No roads are closed for this event and freeways are off limits, so the 60 miles will undoubtedly be circuitous.
The net proceeds from the walk will go to the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade Avon Breast Cancer Crusade, a U.S. initiative
of Avon Products, Inc., which began in 1993.
The Avon Breast Cancer Crusade is the U.S.-based program of the Avon Worldwide Fund for Women's Health.
It funds research and, IMO more importantly, education and early detection screening to medically underserved women.

- Make a note of my participant number 3170.
- Follow this link to

- Select Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day 2002 from the Participating Events pulldown menu. This should bring up a new screen.

- Enter my number 3170 in the Walker/Crew Member Number field (cut and paste should work)
