While I was working on the polygon shapes for the KBTH Fall 04 Virtual conference, I made a few mistakes along the way and one of them was working the swirl triangle. I added a rest row and the resulting shape was rather surprising. In a not in the gutter moment, my mind thought of lilies although lilies can evoke gutter moments and if you doubt me, go study Georgia O'Keefe.
Anyhow, the lily itself got a bit of refinement in June of 2005 validating my view that the shaping is/was dead-on and I can see myself working it in other materials including kynar wire and DMC Senso which has some very good sculptural qualities.
