Bride Bags

Knit from Tahki Satin on size 3 US needles and lined with satin. These bags are quick to knit and a well received gift. The bag on the right was a gift to Rebecca, who married in Burntwood, Staffs, England on 14 July 2000 -- it was inspired by a Sidna Farley design in Knitter's Mag, Summer 1991. With Hearts and Marriage lines it is a symbol of what I hope will be a long and happy marriage. The bag on the left was a gift to my neighbour, Yasmin who married 29 July 2000. I used a different construction technique because of the nature of the stitch pattern (Wings of the Swan) and I have every hope that that marriage too will be a long and happy one -- the wedding was certainly a lot of fun.
